First off, here is a list of places I have traveled, and by that I mean places that were my final destination, that I traveled specifically to, and how many times I’ve been:
Oregon
California(2)
Minnesota(13)
Michigan(11), only the “mitten” once though
Louisiana
Maryland
Maine(2)
New York(2)
Washington D.C.(2)
Hawaii(Maui 3, Hawaii 1, Kauai 1, Oahu 3)
Idaho
I’ve also taken road-trips with have led me through many states.
My first major trip was from Minnesota to Maine and back taking me through:
Wisconsin
Illinois
Indiana
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Massachusetts
New York
Vermont
New Hampshire
Ontario, more specifically Niagara Falls
Another trip took me from Oregon up to Washington just above the border and down to the Redwoods in Northern California
My graduation trip senior year of high school started by flying to Washington D.C. again and driving for 1 week and including:
Virgina
Maryland
New Jersey
4 days in New York
Connecticut
Rhode Island
Massachusetts
Vermont
New Hampshire
3 days in Maine
a return to Mass for 3 days
There was also a second trip to New York City which unfortunately included a 10 hour layover in Seattle but which allows me to list Washington as a state which I have spent more than a few seconds out of the car in.
My trips to the mid-west have been to visit one half of my family and then the other, requiring me to drive through Wisconsin to connect Minnesota and Michigan countless times.
Being from Alaska, I’ve driven through the Yukon Territory 3 times that I can recall as well as a bit of British Columbia to get to Skagway, and have traveled to Denali National Park on 5 separate occasions. Most of my travel instate has been on the southeastern quarter and through the Kenai Penninsula. I have also driven the Parks highways between Anchorage and Fairbanks at least 22 times in the 5 years I’ve been attending UAF.
